2012 Michael Payton 2

MICHAEL PAYTON
Michael is the current USA National and World Champion. He has been slacklining in the professional circuit for 4 years and is considered to be the one to beat, hence his nickname "Alpha." He is known for his extremely clean performances and especially his front flip. Michael is from Westminster, CO and was recently featured on Carson Daly, Conan O'Brien, Fox News, and in the New York Times.

2012 Lukas Huber

LUKAS HUBER
Lukas hails from Brixen, Italy and will be in the USA specifically for this competition. He discovered Slacklining in 2010 and quickly rose to an elite level ranking in the World Cup in 2011. Lukas is quite young, but trains hard and is known for getting big air.

2012 Frankie

FRANKIE NAJERA

Frankie has been competing professionally for 3 years and is well known in the slackline community for his video series "Trick In A Minute. " There he breaks down each move allowing slackliners from around the world to learn each one and agree on technical aspects of newly created tricks. Frankie is from San Diego, CA and is known for his California/ breakdance style. He was recently featured on The Doctors, Conan O'Brien, Fox News, and KTLA News.


2012 Melissa Bowe

MELISSA BOWE
Melissa is from Cape Cod, MA and is one of the few female competitors at the pro level. She began competing professionally in 2011 and won the first Women's Division Competition held at Gibbon Games East and the "Queen of Slackline" video challenge. She is known for her big tricks and has recently been featured on Fox News.

2012 Alex Mason

ALEX MASON

Alex is one of the youngest competitors out there at 14 years old and is from El Cerrito, CA. He began competing professionally in 2011 and is quickly rising in the World ranks. He is known for being extremely fast and can stay on the line for what seems like an eternity earning him the nickname, "the Machine." Alex was recently featured on Conan O'Brien.

Round of 16- World cup Austria 2012, 1st ever landed BB 900 BB

MICKEY WILSON
I'm really excited about the world championships being in Vail this summer because that is actually where I was born!  I was born in Vail Valley Medical Center on Aug. 12, 1988, making me a 24 year old Colorado native.  I went to high school in Durango, CO and I went to college at the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, CO where I received a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Physics and a Master's Degree in Microelectronic Materials and Solar Cell Physics.  

Slackline stats:
USA National Championships 2nd place overall (2011 and 2012)
First to land a double backflip dismount.  
Favorite slack trick: backflip!
