I started skiing as a youngster, but never freed the heel until I
moved out West six years ago. I live in Park City, Utah with a fine
lady and a couple mangy mutts. I ski as much as possible because
it's simply the most fun a person can have without getting arrested
in Mexico.
A couple years ago I started to realize I was getting old, so now
I'm the editor-in-chief at Telemark Skier among other odd jobs I do
to help pay the bills. I very intently watch the Chicago sports
teams and lament their inevitable failures, so getting outside and
jumping on skis and my mountain bike is the best way to relieve the
stress.

I have been telemarking for 8 years and jumping and competing since
the beginning. I have been fortunate enough that telemark skiing
has allowed me to travel around the world competing and
shooting. I try to push freeride telemark to new levels and
inspire others to try it themselves.

I am 20 years old and grew up in beautiful CO. I started to ski
when I was a young lad at the age of 2, then switched over to
telemarking when I was 11. I started to dabble in park skiing about
4 or 5 years ago. In my spare time I enjoy fishing, hunting,
shootin dice at the skunk den, and freestyle walking. I recently
moved out to Salt Lake to focus on skiing and filming with the
Fairly Casual crew. I don't have to many goals for this season
except to ski. I like to live my life day to day its easier to plan
that way.

Born in Grand Junction, CO in 1986, moved to Summit County
at the age of 1. Skied for the Team Breck race program until we
moved back to the western slope in 1996. Skied and snowboarded
Powderhorn Resort until 2001, when I discovered telemark skiing. I
now work as little as possible to survive, so I can telemark often
in the winter, and longboard often in the summer. Fun is fun.

With the home mountains of Vail and Beaver Creek,
Christopher definitely doesn't lack the terrain to enjoy lifting
his heel and enjoying deep snow. He's been in the Vail Valley for
about seven years working many seasonal jobs, but currently makes
his wages as an EMT at Vail Valley Medical Center. His
freeheel resume doesn't lack substance either, by filming with
Lipstick Films and Freeheellife, shooting for Telemark Skier
Magazine and Vail Resorts, and winning the Inaugural Winter
Mountain Games Tele Big Air, Christopher is working on becoming one
of the next up and coming stars.

Skiing is in my blood (and I'm glad, because I was born and live in
Tahoe). Both my parents are avid telemark skiers. I've been skiing
since I was 19 months old, and I remember asking them when I could
learn how to telemark. My dad said I had to be a proficient alpine
skier first. I got my first tele set-up when I was 10yrs old and
joined the junior freeheel team at Alpine Meadows. After my first
day of telemark skiing I was hooked. I loved the freedom of the
turn - especially in powder. Once I learned how to ski powder, I
never wanted to go back to alpine skiing, and I have been a member
of the Alpine Meadows Telemark Team ever since. They are family to
me. Every day at team, a few of us strive to become better .. big
mountain, park, all mountain .. skiers! I have become especially
fond of 'catching air'. To me, its the closest thing to flying.
When I can't get access to the cliffs, I like hitting jumps in the
terrain park. With the help of local coaches (you know who you are)
I have expanded my trick inventory. I look forward to skiing as
much as possible, and hope to do better this year. Aside from
family, friends, pets, school, baseball, surfing, fishing, guitar,
myth busting & world war II history, SKIING is my LIFE!
